Robert Wilson

Robert Wilson brings a wealth of sales experience to Asset Learning. He began his 29 years in benefit plan management and sales as a college agent for Northwestern Mutual in Syracuse, New York. Later, after graduating from Colgate University, Robert spent three years as an underwriter and group representative for Prudential. In 1978, he began working in his father’s New England Life Insurance agency. Within six years, Robert took over the firm, which under his leadership became one of the most productive New England Life agencies in the country in lives and commissions per associate.
In 1984, Robert began building FlexBen Corporation, an employee benefits administration firm founded by his brother, David, a year earlier. As head of sales, Robert helped FlexBen become the largest independent national player in flexible benefits and consumer driven health care in the United States. During his 20-year career with FlexBen, Robert built a clientele of 1,800 corporate customers of 1,000 employees or more, including 90 of the Fortune 500.
Robert left FlexBen in 2004. Today, he is one of the principal owners of Asset Learning.
